Phillies Multicultural Weekend

I suppose it’s time I pay tribute to the Phillies since they have actually been doing well (oops, I hope I didn’t just jinx them *knocks on wood*) I don’t know much about sports so I’m not gonna talk sports jargon. Instead, this is more of an Upcoming Events post.

September 7th through the 8th the Phillies will host a weekend of special events that pay tribute to Hispanic Heritage Month and Irish Heritage Day before and during the upcoming games against the Florida Marlins at Citizens Bank Park.

On the 7th is the Goya Latino Family Celebration with Food Drive. At the gate food collection will be taken for Philabundance, hosted by Goya Foods, Inc. and Toyota, Live salsa bands will play at the gates, authentic Goya food will be available, and there will be more entertainment later on the filed.

The 8th is Irish Heritage Day. You can learn an Irish dance, enjoy live music, and try some authentic Irish delicacies offered at many of the concession stands. The Phillies will be donating equipment for both youth and adult baseball programs in Ireland.

Both events offer a $7 ticket discount on $15-$27.50 regularly-priced tickets purchased online. To take advantage of the special ticket offer, enter the promotion code SALSA for the Goya celebration on the 7th or IRISH for the Irish celebration on the 8th.
