Having A Hard Time Finding A Gift For Your Wife?

Friday, November 28th, 2008

Women are keen to both look and feel good, so a stylish iPod would be equally as good as their favorite fragrance. Many people think that perfumes are an expensive luxury item, but using a good price comparison website you can find cheap perfumes and women’’s fragrances at amazing low prices.

Perfumes make the perfect gift for any woman, and you don’t have to spend a ton either, which is always a plus. And hell, perfume is better then a lot of the gifts you may give her, like an iron board, soap; you know what I’m talking about.

With Save Buckets, you can search for the cheapest prices on brands such as Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Calvin Klein, Oscar, and much more. Normally when you walk into a department store, these brands are normally over-prices. If you take the time to search and compare online, you can usually save a lot of money. When I search for cologne or perfume online, I end up saving 50% or more.

So - if you not sure what gift you should buy for your special women, check out some of the hottest perfumes today.

Wal-Mart Worker Trampled To Death

Friday, November 28th, 2008

Customers in a frenzy for deals at a Long Island Wal-Mart trampled an overnight stock clerk to death, the NY Daily News reports. Witnesses said he tried to hold back the crowds as they took the doors right off their hinges in the dash when the store opened at 5 a.m. this morning for Black Friday:

“He was bum-rushed by 200 people,” said Jimmy Overby, 43, a co-worker. “He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too…I literally had to fight people off my back.”

A pregnant shopper who made her way inside the store with the masses was pushed to the ground and suffered a miscarriage, a witness said. Sadly, no one stopped to help the victims:

Before police shut down the store, eager shoppers streamed past emergency crews as they worked furiously to save the store clerk’s life.

“They were working on him, but you could see he was dead, said Halcyon Alexander, 29. “People were still coming through.”

Only a few stopped.

“They’re savages,” said shopper Kimberly Cribbs, 27. “It’s sad. It’s terrible.”

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Well - today was ole’ judgment day for Larry Mendte. The former CBS 3 anchor Larry Mendte returned to federal court today to be sentenced after pleading guilty in August to illegally accessing the email of his former co-anchor Alycia Lane.

Mendte, who bypassed media as he entered the courthouse for his 3 p.m. hearing, was sentenced to three years probation, six months home confinement, 250 hours community service, computer monitoring, psychiatric evaluation, a $5,000 fine and a $100 special assessment.

Poor little Larry.

“Office” Actor Stand-Up In Philadelphia This Week

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

Craig Robinson, the comedian who plays warehouse supervisor Darryl Philbin on the NBC comedy, performs tonight through Saturday at Helium (2031 Sansom).

Robinson, who can be seen in theaters in “Zack and Miri Make a Porno,” said his act is “very musical,” with audience participation. He tries to play a couple of shows each month, but his busy shooting schedule on “The Office” makes that difficult. As for his character, who was recently freed from the clingy Kelly Kapoor (played by Mindy Kaling), Robinson said, “I don’t know what they have in store for me. “I’m as excited as everyone else to see what’s next for Darryl.”

The comic actor is happy that his recent drug-possession charge has been dropped. In August he pleaded guilty in Los Angeles to a felony after he was pulled over for a traffic violation and police found Ecstasy pills in his car. The case was cleared in September after Robinson completed a court-ordered drug program.

His upcoming movies include “Playboys,” “Night at the Museum 2,” and “The Goods.” For tickets for this week’s shows, click here.

Tons Of Alien Sightings In PA.

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

The latest big story in Bucks County, PA. is all its recent Alien sightings.

What started with a single UFO sighting over a Middletown Mexican restaurant Jan. 26 has turned into a science fiction sensation.

Spaceships were spotted over Sesame Place.

Black boomerangs were reported over Citizens Bank Park during the Phillies National League Championship series.

An extraterrestrial even was seen recently in the men’s department of the local JCPenney, smiling at our women.

With more than 50 reports from Bucks since January, the Pennsylvania Mutual UFO Network says it now will gather here for its next alien hunter conference Jan. 24 at Bucks County Community College.

Holyshit. The UFO conference will be held on the most depressing day of the year. Seriously. Not joking. Incredibly depressing.

On June 23, a woman reported seeing an “alien entity” in the JCPenney’s men’s section.

“He was standing by a clothes rack,” the report said. “She described him as being male, no hair, gray skin, almond black eyes with a lumpy heavily wrinkled face.” The alien appeared to be shopping and had a “pleasant smile” for ladies in the store.

Yet the woman told MUFON she decided to leave the scene “because she and her husband were planning to attend a movie.”

(It’s not known which outlet the aliens chose for their shopping spree, though several other sightings were reported near the Oxford Valley Mall.)

It’s good to know the impending alien invasion won’t be that bad; the aliens have the same commitment to savvy shopping as we do, at least. So hey, what’s to worry about?

In completely unrelated news, the UFO Call Center is sick and tired of receiving prank phone calls.

Quotables

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Like I’ve always said: Heidi’s hair and makeup people are some of my favorite homosexuals on the planet, and if they want to marry each other, I’m not about to be like, ‘Don’t.

The sage and ever-eloquent Spencer Pratt — a staunch Republican — discusses Prop 8 during an interview today.

What a douchebag…

Oh, and do you know how frickin’ hard it is to find a picture of just Spencer Pratt? Heidi keeps poking her ass into every picture…or it may be the other way around.

BREAKING: Casino Zoning Passes!

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Two zoning bills that open the door for a casino to be located in the Gallery at 11th and Market streets were approved in City Council this morning.

It has been two months since Foxwoods investors announced they are considering moving their casino project from a state-approved location on the Delaware riverfront in South Philly to the Gallery. Foxwoods has not shown any plans for what a Center City casino might look like. Foxwoods will need state approval for a move and approval from the City Planning Commission on a plan of development in order to open at the Gallery.

Looks like Philadelphia just lost the little bit of class that it had.

FOX Cancels Mad TV

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

It looks like Saturday Night Live has finished them off. Fox has canceled one of its longest-running shows — the late-night sketch comedy veteran “Mad TV.”

The Saturday night mainstay’s current 14th season will be its last on the network.

The show’s co-creator David Salzman says he’s not giving up on the program and plans to shop “Mad TV” to cable networks and other outlets.

I kinda’ think Mad TV started going down hill once the original cast split.

6 Dead In Car Crash

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

A fiery crash left six people dead yesterday, including four children, in Kent County.

Police said two SUVs collided head-on while driving on Carpenter Bridge Road in Frederica at about 3:30 p.m.

Both of the SUVs burst into flames following the crash. The intense fire charred grass surrounding the accident scene and left the roadway blackened.

The crash killed thirty-six-year-old Kelly Rinaldi of Harrington and four of her children: fifteen-year-old Jacob Rinaldi, five-year-old Jessup Crow, five-year-old Kyle Crow, and seven-year-old Kaylee Crow.

The driver of the second SUV, thirty-four-year-old Michael Miller of Frederica, was also killed.

No one yet knows why this accident happened.

Just terrible.
